Fruit Water Recipe

When I was a health coach back in the day, the first thing I’d work on with most clients was drinking more water. You’d be surprised at how many people don’t drink water and even more surprised at how many people don’t like to drink water. That just baffles me but for all you water haters, I’ve got you covered.

My trick for clients at the time was to have them put lemon slices or frozen berries in a pitcher or their water bottles so that they’d be more likely to drink it. It was amazing how this one tiny change could make a huge difference in their attitudes towards H20. The fruit seems to elevate the drink into something fancier so that mentally it’s more appealing.

Because I’m always on the go, I prefer using my water bottle for infusions. Luckily, one of my favorite companies is making it even easier with the bobble Infuse filtered water bottle. I just started using these sleek little guys and it’s changed the game. The filter cage can either hold a carbon filter (to filter your water) or can be used for your fruit infusions (like I did here).

I always drink a good amount of water but now I feel like I’m fully hydrated 24/7. I also make infused water for my husband to drink at work and it gets him to drink more. He claims that he usually “forgets” but when he’s more excited about the flavor, he’s more likely to remember that it’s there.

It’s easy to just throw in some lemon wedges or cucumber slices but I’ve been feeling a little more creative lately so I’ve been mixing it up. Scroll down for three of my favorite “recipes” for fruit-infused water. I just throw all of the ingredients into the bottle and the filter cage prevents any seeds or other gunk from getting into my mouth.

Fruit Bowl

Pineapple Rosemary
What’s in it: Pineapple (cubed) and rosemarry springs. You don’t even need to remove the stems!

I realize that this combo sounds a little odd but our hotel in Palm Beach had it waiting for us every time we came home, and I was a straight addict. The pineapple sweetens it quite a bit but the rosemary elevates the flavors to something that feels more sophisticated. Just try it. Trust me!

Strawberry Lemonade
What’s in it: Strawberries, lemon wedges

This has always been my go-to fruit water recipe. I am constantly sipping on strawberry lemon water so I had to include it in this list.

Citrus Mint
What’s in it: lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, mint leaves

While strawberry lemonade was my OG, citrus mint is my new favorite. I love this combination of flavors and I get the added benefit of plenty of vitamin C!

I am honestly and truly THE WORST about drinking water and every time I go to an esthetician they always say my skin is dehydrated because I don’t drink enough. Needless to say this looks so good and I need to get one of these immediately!

This is such a great idea! I usually don’t do infused water because it isn’t very easy to take with me anywhere. Thank you for posting – going to buy a few of these!
